Patrick Lawlor (politician)

Patrick Daniel Lawlor (November 16, 1923 – March 28, 1993) was a Canadian politician who served as the Ontario NDP Member of the Ontario legislature for the Toronto riding of Lakeshore from 1967 to 1981.
==Background==
Lawlor was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1923. He and his family moved to Toronto, Ontario when he was 7 years old.〔 He graduated from the University of St. Michael's College〔(''Hansard'' ), Legislative Assembly of Ontario, April 14, 1993〕 at the University of Toronto and then earned a law degree from the University of Toronto Law School and opened a law practice in Long Branch, Ontario,〔 which later became part of Etobicoke. He earned his PhD in the 1960s.〔
In 1979, he published a book of poetry called ''the psychotic personality of our time'',〔Book title was published with all lower case letters.〕 and also wrote an unpublished play. He and his wife Leslie raised four children. They lived in New Toronto.〔
